Currently going crazy over this song.
But for some reason it made me think ..
Teenage love?
Everyone's gonna dream of it at some point in their teenage lives right? Its so common nowadays. Yet everytime you experience it, its like the best thing that could happen in your life. Whether its just a crush Or the two of you are together.
When you get that crazy feeling when you're alone with him/her.
When all you wanna do is run up to them and hug them and never let go.
When you cant stop smiling when they're talking to you.
When there's an awkward silence but you dont mind as long as you're with them
When your hand's in their's
When they lie on your shoulder while you're in the bus with them.
When in your head all you're thinking of is being with them forever
But reality is, what are the chances of things working out when you're 15?
You're gonna eventually leave each other behind when you change schools and stuff.
Even if you guys manage to get to the same school, or find a way to meet up often. what makes you so sure your feelings are gonna last for that long?
I mean, its not impossible for it to last. It has happened before. Its just that, the chances arent that high.
Still, we cling on to that hope that it will.
Its not that we cant EXPERIENCE true love at this age.
Its just that most of us probably don't know how to HANDLE it yet.
You see those people randomly breaking down in school cause of relationship problems?
Or those who've been crushing on someone for a long time but have to deal with seeing them with someone else.
See how much they hurt?
Yeah, it sucks. Heartbreak sucks. It feels like its the end of everything. Like nothing's gonna be okay ever again. But life goes on right? its not the end. Eventually we'll move on. Whether a month, a year, or maybe even longer. we will.
But y'know that first love is always gonna remain in your heart no matter what.
That first time you got that ecstatic feeling. The first time you felt everything was okay as long as you had that someone. With every other person you find, you're always going to find yourself comparing them to your first love right?
Where am i going with all of this? I have no idea...
Its just that despite everything. all the hurt, heartbreak, jealousy etc.
We still take a chance.
Just to be happy with that someone (:
And that, is what's amazing
